The “My Heart Will Go On” singer said: “I’m so sorry to let you all down again. Even though it pains me, it’s better that we cancel everything immediately until I’m really ready to go back on stage again, as further postponement of the performances would not be fair to you.
“I want everyone to know that I’m not giving up … and I look forward to getting to know you again.”
Six months after producing a heartbreaking video revealing her diagnosis of stiff person syndrome, Celine Dion revealed that the condition is affecting “every aspect of my daily life.” She added that muscle spasms limit her singing and performing skills, as well as her everyday tasks.
She claimed in December that the cramps “interfere with every aspect of my daily life, sometimes making it difficult for me to walk and preventing me from using my vocal cords in the way I’m used to singing.”
Dion also assured her supporters that she has a “great medical team” who are working hard to help her recover, but acknowledged it’s been a “struggle”.
“Singing is all I can do. I’ve always done that and always enjoyed it,” she added.
