Bendel Insurance trounce Remo Stars in top-of-the-table clash

Bendel Insurance sent a powerful statement to the rest of the league as they picked up a brilliant 3-0 home win over Remo Stars to claim their fourth win of the season. Benin Arsenal won the duel of the titans and extended their lead at the top of Group A.

After each won three games early in the season, Remo stars and Bendel Insurance in Benin. The visitors hadn’t conceded in their first three games of the season but were wiped out within five minutes of the game when the red-hot Imade Osarenkhoe scored his fourth goal of the season from close range.

Rivers United move up from 12 possible points in the league to 10, while Dakkada have four points from their first four games.

It’s all a bit surreal: Issy Wong on hat-trick

England pacesetter Isabelle Wong called it “a bit surreal” after scoring the first Women’s Premier League hat-trick to propel the Mumbai Indians into the final with a stunning 72-run win over UP Warriorz on Friday.

Wong returned with incredible numbers of 4-0-15-4 to pool UPW for 110 in their hunt for a rigid 183 run target.

“It’s all a bit surreal, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind for the past few weeks. I’ve worked a bit hard in the gym over the past few years and it was worth it to enjoy it all,” said Wong, 20, after the game.

Commenting on Wong’s hat-trick, Harmanpreet said: “She’s always looking forward to bowling, she’s always been there and very happy. And she (Nat Sciver-Brunt) is someone who can get us through any game, I’m glad she did it today.

“We have some young girls who also want to do well in the field. They have positive energy, they’re willing to get their job done and they listen to us whenever we speak to them.” Nat Sciver-Brunt was named Player of the Match for her stunning 38-ball 72. Interestingly, she was dropped by Ecclestone in the sixth over, by Gayakwads Bowling, when she tried to lift one over the middle.

“It was a lot of fun batting out there and surprised myself with a few shots. I thanked you (to Ecclestone) for dumping me. Normally she would take that, lucky draw.”

Muay Thai phenomenon Tawanchai PK Saenchai bets on beating Superlek daniel williams, but not without a fight.

This Friday, kickboxing division king Superlek Kiatmoo9 will go head-to-head with Danial Williams at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video instead of Rodtang Jitumuangnon. While the news comes as a shock, a showdown between Superlek and Williams is the next best thing.

Muay Thai bantamweight king Tawanchai PK Saenchai is excited to see how the two forwards will match up this Friday as they have both shown great performances in the past. In this case, however, he leans into his friend to beat Danial Williams, but not without some sort of challenge. Speaking to ONE Championship, the 23-year-old star predicted:

“I personally like Daniel. He’s a tough fighter. He has a strong heart and heavy weapons. But I think Superlek is superior to him in terms of experience and physical advantages. His right kick is deadly. I think Superlek will win this fight but maybe not KO because Danial is the tough one.

Williams enter the kickboxing scene with nothing to lose and everything to gain. He was originally set to face Portuguese forward Rui Bolteho in a muay thai strawweight bout before being asked to step in as Rodtang’s replacement just days ago. Though he goes into the foray with a list of disadvantages, he’s willing to put in the work for a shot at winning a world title.

Daniel Williams tells Superlek he’s coming for the win

‘mini T’ Daniel Williams enjoying the short time he has to sink Superleks Skin before they meet in circle this Friday.
